Jordan - Acts 26

After reading it 30 times or so already, it struck me how the Sadducees didn't believe in resurrection and yet Paul and Peter quote scripture from the Old Testament that prophecy the Messiah's resurrection.  Paul asks in verse 8 "Why is it thought incredible by any of you that God raises the dead?"  I feel like I always think of the various groups in the Bible as supporting actors and actresses, no depth of character.  But whether the group is called "the Jews" or "the Sadducees" or "the Pharisees" or whatever, these groups are real people who study and debate scripture and are firm in their beliefs.  Despite the fact that the disciples can so clearly identify scripture that support the resurrection, others can likely counter with passages of their own.  I don't really know what my point is here, but I think its cool that the books of the Bible (Hebrew Bible in this case) were debated and interpreted rightly or wrongly since they were written!
